DescriptionMale flies treated with hypergravity (3 or 5 g) for two weeks, starting from the second day of imaginal life, and transferred after that time to 1 g for the remainder of their lives, lived longer than flies living at 1 g their entire lives (Le Bourg and Minois, 1997). No lifespan extension was observed in female flies (Le Bourg and Minois, 1997).
