DescriptionThe dominant allel ovoD1 allele extends female life span approximately 50%. ovoD1 fails to synergize with chico for life span extension but does not prevent life span extension by chico. (Sgro and Partridge, 1999; Clancy et al., 2001)

Other PhenotypesovoD1 females are sterile (Mevel-Ninio et al.,1991).
